Hot Air Leveling Flux is a neutral water soluble liquid soldering flux that is especially designed for soldering printed circuits boards in a vertical hot air leveling equipment. N-7’s non-splattering characteristic reduces solder waste and provide consistent soldering performance. Its high activation level make it most suitable to application where minimal pre cleaning processes utilized. N-7 HAL, flux assists greatly in producing the required quality solder coating with both simple and complex multi- layered boards. This thermally stable flux will produce a bright, uniform fused coating.
Merits Of Using N-7 Hal Flux:
- Reduced halide
- Neutrally activated
- High density
- Very easy to use
- Minimum pre cleaning
- Very good wetting property
- Completely water-soluble
- High S.I.R. value after cleaning
- Good shining quality finishing to the solder fillets
- Reduced volume of water used for cleaning
- Very economical
Application:
- N-7 HAL flux can be satisfactorily applied by normal roller process but god results are also obtainable using with spray or dip coating techniques
- Boards must be pre cleaned and micro etched
Flux Quality:
- In time, debris and contaminates will accumulate in the flux. This contamination will affect the quality of the flux, hence soldering. For consistent soldering performance, replace flux periodically
- Before replacing the flux reservoir with fresh flux, the reservoir, fluxing attachment and aerator stone should be thoroughly clean with fresh flux, the reservoir, fluxing attachment and aerator stone should be thoroughly clean with a suitable flux cleaner
- During the cleaning process, it would be as good a time to clean the conveyor belt fingers and jigs of accumulate flux residue
- After cleaning, rinse all relevant parts with a suitable flux thinner
- Refills flux reservoir with fresh flux and allow a few minutes for foam to stabilize before resuming soldering operation
Safety & Storage:
- This flux is stored in proper area away from direct sunlight and source of ignition. Storage temperature should be between 100C and 300C
- Avoid eye and skin contact during handling. Sufficient localized exhaust should be provided in area where vapor is generated
